FISHING REPORT FOR THIS COMING WEEKEND

THIS FISHING REPORT IS FROM THE CISCO CHAIN OF LAKES

IF ANYONE WOULD LIKE TO CONTRIBUTE INFORMATION ON OTHER LAKES IN THE AREA, PLEASE DO SO.

As of this writing, 8/14 the water temperatures are in the mid 70s on most lakes on the chain.

I WOULD SAY FISHING IS GOOD.

WALLEYE – Have been found in deeper weeds and weed edges in (9 to 12 feet). Early morning and evening bite has still been better.
Jigs with fat head minnows and leeches under a slip float has been the norm.

PERCH – Are being caught a little deeper 6 to 10 feet in cabbage but still move around and work the area to find the school.

CRAPPIE – Of the panfish species, these are still the most being caught. Anglers have been doing well in wood for nice Crappies. Cappie minnows and leeches under a slip bobber has been doing good, but I would also give smaller spinner baits a try around 6 to 9 feet weeds.

BLUEGILL – Are being caught near shorelines in 4 to 6 feet of water on crawlers. I will tell you most of the Bluegills being caught are truly good size.

Sm. BASS – Have been in deeper (9′ to 15′) weeds. I wouldn’t overlook docks and even swim platforms.

Lg. BASS – Have been caught in 6 to 9 feet vegetation. Early and evening hours Medium (plastics) artificial are being used along with topwater bait.

MUSKY – The Muskie bite has been picking up. The anglers I have talked to have been switching to larger spinner baits and chubs.

NORTHERN PIKE – Are everywhere and being caught with all bait.

ALLNORTHWOODS WILL KEEP PASSING ON ANY FISHING REPORTS AND INFORAMION WE GET FROM LOCAL GUIDES AND ANGLERS ON A WEEKLY BASIS.
