SNOWMOBILE TRAIL REPORT

We finally received the snow accumulation that our trails needed for great riding conditions, but with that amount of snow also comes challenges. As far as I know the Frosty and other snowmobile clubs (CONOVER, PHELPS, PRESQUE ISLE, MERCER, MINOCQUA & WATERSMEET) are inspecting and grooming the trails.

I’ve checked on most of the snowmobile clubs and YES, they are working on the trails so snowmobilers can finally have great riding experiences. But please, let’s give these volunteers some time. I have already seen sleds on the trails and I get it, but please give our FROSTY CLUB and neighboring snowmobile clubs a break and give them a chance to groom.

I get it, we have more snow than usual at this time of year but let the snowmobile clubs do their jobs. Yes, we got a lot of snow, but I’m sure not everyone is thinking about downed trees, branches across the trails and snow weighed overhanging limbs. Then even after being groomed, with 40 mph wind gust, snowmobilers could experience snow drifts on the trails.

BOTTOM LINE, the trails are only so wide, and it’s much easier and safer for the snowmobile clubs to groom the trails with less traffic. So PLEASE wait for the trails to be inspected and groomed before heading out. Best bet is getting the APP that tells you where the groomer is and what trails have been groomed. RIDE SAFE
