To me, we have three seasons in the Northwoods. There is mud season for ATV/UTVs, fishing season for the anglers and the snowmobile season. For eleven months most restaurants, resorts, supper clubs and local bars see quite a few vacationers and 2025/2026 was truly better than the last three years.

Those locals that do not travel during the winter months know when late March arrives this is when most of the food industries close in Land O Lakes but come April these business owners and their employees are well over do for a much-needed vacation and spring cleaning.
I joke about the last person to leave town, turning off the lights, because many locals head south for the winter.

For many people, April is a long month, and they are looking forward to their favorite eateries to reopen. Well, that time is getting closer. But until those dates arrive, you should know ASANA SUKA (715) 547-3344 has been open and will continue to be on Fridays and Saturdays before extending their hours. GATEWAY LODGE (715) 547-3321 is open (bar) 6 days a week and (restaurant 5 days a week) Tuesday through Saturday. It should be noted that GATEWAY LODGE will be closed for 1 week (April 19th to 27th). Reopening Tuesday April 28th
THE ALLEY is and has been open 7 days a week and PINECONE CAFE is operating 6 days a week.
